The genesis of the LumenPunks (1984-1986)
...within the framework of KJF’s LUMEN ART is not just a tribute, but a continuation of his mission. It is a bridge between the tangible legacy of a lifetime and the digital future of art. The 50 hand-painted works (70 x 50 cm each) depict various punk characters.
Being created between 1984-1986, they perfectly reflect the cyber punk ideas of dystopian futures, advanced technology, and the blurring of human-machine boundaries. They couldn't be more relevant to our current Zeitgeist – with AI and robotic technology being on the rise.
Stippled with Intricacy: Each piece is meticulously stippled to create a textured, tactile feel reminiscent of the technique of pointillism, but completely unique.
Cubist Inspirations: The fragmentation of form inherent in Cubism is reinterpreted through KJF's lens, with shapes and colors overlapping and overlapping to challenge perception.
Surrealist dreams: As if entering a painting by Dali or Escher, the LumenPunks invite the viewer into dream-like dimensions in which physics and reality are artfully twisted.
Vividly subdued: despite the deep, dark backgrounds, each LumenPunk is bursting with strategic splashes of color that draw the eye and stimulate the imagination.
Whimsically serious: These figures have a playful seriousness; each seems to contain a story, a riddle wrapped up in KJF's mind.
Architects of the absurd: With structures that defy conventional architecture, these punks create a sense of organized chaos, a harmony of the abstract.
